Hi, welcome to the word of the day. Today we’ll be talking about botnets. A botnet is a collection of internet-connected devices– for example, Internet of Things (IoT) devices– used for nefarious intent. A third party controls and instructs those devices in a botnet. Botnets are used to create chaos and cybersecurity issues as bot herders remotely control them to launch DDoS attacks, perform data exfiltration, send spam, and  access the IoT devices and their connections. For more information on botnets and how you can protect your network from weaponized IoT devices, please visit https://www.a10networks.com/blog/when-the-internet-of-things-iot-is-armed-as-an-iot-botnet/
